The “Todo” Gramplet allows you to create or list all notes with a “Todo” note type.
Is there a simple way to create a table, a list, etc., containing all the information provided during a sequential item-by-item consultation?
The advantage would be to sort and group this information and possibly export it in Markdown format to a third-party application (Obsidian, Anytype, Workflowy, etc.).
I do not understand what the “information” would be in this. (Would it be some kind of session “log”? Like an variation of the Last Change gramplet or report?)
Could you re‐phrase “sequential item-by-item consultation” too?
I’m probably not expressing myself well (even in French). I’d actually like a report in the form of a table or list that collects all the information that can be viewed during the step-by-step use of the “Todo” Gramplet. Attached is a small diagram of what I’m trying to explain. Sorry for not being able to express myself properly in English.
The ToDo gramplet filters differently in each caregory. In the Dashboard (and Notes category), it builds a list of all Notes of “To Do” type. In the other categories, it builds a list of the “To Do” type Notes for the Active (not the extended Selection) object.
And the order is not specified. (I suspect that it is in order of creation, not order of ID. And probably ignores in the Notes tab overriding order… which is set in the object editors.)
So a collated set of To Do Notes would be disorganized. So it would probably need a divider (an identifying header?) between Notes too.
If I use the Report, I don’t find any “To Do” notes, even though a filter on the notes gives me 141, which is also what the “To Do” Gramplet tells me. See attached copy.
In addition to the malfunction of this report, allow me a comment:
If I use the “To Do” Gramplet to create a “To Do” note as intended, even if I specify the relevant Gramps object in its content via a link, it will be considered detached, and the cited object will not have a “To Do” note.
Currently, the “To Do” report isn’t working for me. I can’t verify if this scenario is taken into account, but I’m afraid not???
I’m using Gramps 5.2.3, Kde Neon 6 distribution. Plugin Name: To Do Report [Report] Identifier: TodoReport Version: 1.2.36
It’s the “Todo” type notes I’m looking for, as shown in my screenshot, message number 6.
The query that should be made through the form should be: Build a report called “ESSAI” regardless of the tag (Entire Database), but whose type is “À faire”
I chose HTML to convert it to Markdown more easily. I hope I interpreted the form correctly.
I just looked at the ToDo Report and even though the report options allow the user to select any note Type, the only report to return any records was the note type “To Do”.
And further testing disproves this. I must of first tried a note Type that actually had no references. I’ll test on all my types now.
UPDATE: I just ran the ToDo Report on all my note Types. The only reports that returned no results were the types that I had no records using those types!
I notice that in the list of notes with the type “À faire” that all the records appear to be locked, made private. Unlock a few of the records to see if the records are not showing in the report because they are locked and private.
Same problem with 1.2.39 The notes are mainly attached to individuals Around 143 (number given by the filter on the Todo Type), which is why I’d like to have a Note/Individual list Is this not due to the language or my Linux system? Too strong for me?
