Persistent Gramps database backup failure

Gramps 5.2.2, Windows 11

I’ve had a discussion here on this same topic a few months ago. The solution provided that worked well was to delete the gramps.ini file from the Local folder.

Now, whenever I try to backup the database, I must always first delete the gramps.ini file.

When I went to the Gramps Bug Reporting page to report this persistent bug, I was unable to log in. Following the instructions given on the “no-reply” message I got back from the Gramps Bug Report site did not allow me to login or to change my password.

All Gramps service are self managed and so for the Gramps Bugtracker you can visit the Password Reset page at https://gramps-project.org/bugs/lost_pwd_page.php

your username on the bugtracker is dchawes2 and not the username shown in the email you mentioned.

So here I am reporting a persistent Gramps 5.2.2 Win 11 backup failure (which fortunately does have a relatively easy, but annoying, workaround).
