Moving Gramps from Desktop to new Laptop

Hello from me, an absolute beginner, well almost, I have been slowly building up my family tree on my desktop running on win10. I managed to update from version 5.2.1 to 5.2.2 ok but… my desktop is getting old (14yrs) so I got a laptop running win11 and downloaded Gramps 5.2.3
Is there is simple way to transfer the family tree database from the desktop to the laptop, or do I have to start from scratch all over again? Appreciate any help given.

Make a backup with media. The import the resulting .gpkg file on the laptop.

Note that resulting file structure will less messy if the media objects share the Base Media Path.

You might also want to review what is omitted from exports and backups. Tree data isn’t omitted. But the customizations to the Gramps configuration are not part of the Tree. (Configurations include your custom filters and Reports settings and addons.)

Thank you so much for your swift reply. I will get onto it first thing in the morning (after a coffee). I was dreading having to go through the whole process over again. I will post again if successful. Thanks again.
