Did the mail servers change for the Mail-list mode?
Suddenly, the majority of posting relayed via the Discourse Maillist functionality are being caught in Yahoo’s SPAM filter.
More importantly, they are delayed by about 12 hours instead of the normal 10 minutes Discourse allows for ‘oops’ retractions.
Don’t know the answer to your question, but this past week I’ve have to mark several messages as ‘Not Spam’ to pull them back from the Spam folder on Yahoo!
Continue to mark the emails as not spam.

View the raw message and copy and paste those into the email to webmaster@gramps-project.org please.
After complying with the above request for the next mis-handled message, my logical step will be to add “notifications@gramps.discoursemail.com” to my account’s Yahoo contact addressbook. That should help whitelist the Maillist relayed messages.

Don’t trust Yahoo to have not messed with the headers when it restored the message to the lnbox with their ‘Not SPAM’ option.
On the bright side, there was only a 6 hour delay between @codefarmer posting to and it being forwarded by the maillist.
Which happens to be my US Central time zone offset from GMT. He was posting from Eastern Time (-5:00). Yet the header shows a 0:00 time zone offset??? Maybe their mailserver had a reset?

Here's a set up of Gramps-related keyword bookmark in Firefox. The first one does a wiki search with the search modifiers @emyoulation mentioned. To use it, in the address bar, type in something like "grwiki clipboard"
The one for Gramps Bug is similar and finds a bug based on bug id.

I will wait to do the above until you decide a tester is not needed… or that the Discourse folks won’t be attempting to resolve.
The header is incomplete. At minimum there should be at least one more Received: headers.
Personally I’d expect the most likely reason to be that somebody subscribed to Gramps ages ago and now just spambinned all those emails – instead of, say, unsubscribing.

As to being incomplete, that was the complete raw email while in the Spam Folder… according to Yahoo. If it is malformed, maybe that is a part of the reason yahoo is misfiling.
Yes, some other user. Those large providers aggregate all spam-marked emails into one large analysis monster.
It’s not malformed, just missing data which Yahoo doesn’t store / doesn’t show, for whatever reason. But the data they do show say that the GRAMPS email admins aren’t to blame for this and most likely can’t do anything to fix it that they aren’t doing already.
I expected that that spam redirection was due to some other Yahoo users having tagged the Discourse notifications as Spam. A sudden increase in the Spam rerouting was merely a coinciding symptom worth noting. As it could also be an indication of rule Yahoo uses to tag spoofing email relays. (Spoofers sometimes do weird things to disquise the originating servers… and timezones being mismatched to ip locations might be a red flag.)
But ignoring the Spam symptom still leaves the delivery delays… the primary reason for this thread.
And, since this forum is part of a free shared hosting offered to open source projects, there was never an expectation that the forum webmaster had any responsibility for (or control over) the mail server settings. Just that they have a channel to report a potential mail server configuration problem that would be taken more seriously than a message from a user of the forum.
A user of EasyNetSites (aka ENS, acquire by Blue Crab Software in 2021) reports that AOL has recently begun handling the mailserver side of the business for Yahoo and Verizon. And that their SPAM filtering is more than oversensitive.
And AOL is spewing technobabble and “best business practice” doubletalk when users complain about having no option to whitelist or leverage their addressbook to influence the SPAM system.
That explains the SPAM rerouting.
But still no clues about the extreme latency in maillist mode delivery.
Another possible channel to start a corrective action on the Spam side of the problem.
Are other Discourse users (who are NOT using Yahoo or Verizon) also seeing a sudden misrouting to SPAM and/or serious delays in the maillist?

I just tried adding a 2nd eMail address to my Discourse profile. (Thinking that perhaps the delays are not as bad on other email services.)
However, Discourse requires a confirmation from a message sent to the original eMail address. And with the 10-15 minute delay, Discourse has already EXPIRED the confirmation code.
Surely that is too tight of a expiration window?
I am starting to receive some maillist mode notifications in less than an hour of the thread posting.
Despite adding notifications@gramps.discoursemail.com to my Yahoo contacts, several emails from Discourse go to Spam daily and have to be fished out to follow threads coherently. Other Yahoo users seeing this too? Any suggestions?
I certainly am seeing the same. Since the AOL team took over the Yahoo mail servers this year, the SPAM filters have gone hyperactive.
Perhaps there is a clue there? Maybe the history from AOL’s spam troubleshooting has an approach that works. Adding that address to my Contacts didn’t help me either. It could be that the discourse server mailrouting is problematic. Maybe we should dissect the mail header and see if there are other thing to add to the spam exceptions?
