Hi,
menawhile I have a huge database of 400+ persons. I like to visualize it with the Relationship Graph, as it shows images and lots of data in a compact style.
Now I want to show only half of the database, for instance my fathers line. When I choose “People with common ancestor with [father]”, not all persons are shown. E.g. the second wife of any ancestor or the partners of cousins etc.
The goal is to have two seperate graphs (father and mother) so that all persons of the database are shown on any of the two graphs.
Is this possible?
Thanks for your help!

Welcome.
Try a two step custom filter.
Filter 1
Ancestral filters >> Ancestors of <person>
Filter 2
Descendant filters >> Descendant Family members of <filter> match
When you create the Relationship Graph, select Filter 2 for the Filter option.
I do recommend that you upgrade to Gramps 6.0.3. There is a known filtering bug in 6.0.1 fixed in 6.0.3
You may be interested in the addons Graph View and the Family Tree View. The FTV is available here
PS: 400+ people is a small tree. It does have the advantage that reports can often handle the entire database.
Thank you Dave for your quick response. It works (after a while …)
The two addons are nice at first sight, will test them further.
Best regards
Ekkehard
