Media Browser gramplet not shown

I installed MediaBrowserGramplet with Plugin Manager.
But when I tried to add the gramplet at the Dashboard … Media Browser is not there in the dropdown menu.
Where do find it in Gramps?

Gramplets are sometimes limited to certain categories. So if they are not listed where you expect, it can be enlightening to look inside its Gramps Plugin Registration file

For this particular gramplet, it has the line navtypes=["Person"]

So it will not be available in the Dashboard category’s gramplet menu. It will only be in Categories where the navigation focus is based on the Active Person:

  • People
  • Relationships
  • Charts
  • Geography

Do you think that it would be a reasonable enhancement request to add a list of Category icons to the Addon Manager listings for Gramplets that have NavType restrictions? (But only for those with restrictions. Otherwise it would add GUI clutter without adding situational awareness.)

And probably another request for the Plugin Manager listing since the Addon Manager does not list builtins and some of those have restrictions.

(Although it might be better enhancement to add a Builtins ‘project’ to the Addon Manager so all plugins could be searched in one interface.)
