The preferences window does not show up on one computer where I installed Gramps 6.06. On another computer this problem does not occur. In an earlier post I found the hint to correct the file gramps.ini. Where is this file stored? I do not find it in the path C:\Users\Namel\AppData\Local\Programs\GrampsAIO64-6.0.6 nor in the path to my databases and bak files. Just and only in old istallation for gramps51 I can find it. Does the gramps.ini still exist in 6.06?
What else could cause the problem?
The gramps.ini file will be in your user directory’s version folder.
C:\Users\Namel\AppData\Local\gramps\gramps60
Thanks! Now I found the .ini file. In my installation it is in a different path: C:\Users\Namel\AppData\Roaming\gramps\gramps60. I just tested and the last view is shown the right way. But what line defines the position of the preferences window? It still can not be seen on the screen on this computer and therfore I am not able to change the preferences the wa I need.

You can delete the lines when Gramps is closed. Gramps should recreate the settings with the default values.
