The idea is that with the much improved filter designs and with the soon to be improved performance of many of the existing filters it may now be possible to rely upon the filter output to (partially, at least) populate the ‘People of Interest’ tab.
I suggest a drop down selector available to the user for the selected custom filter, with a default of ‘none’. When a pre-existing filter is selected in this new selector and user presses ‘OK’, its output is appended to the list of persons in the ‘People of Interest’ selector in the background before ordinary processing takes place. With this capability highly customizable graphical output may be used to show potential links between arbitrarily tagged individuals, DNA associated individuals, and possibly much more, especially as the ‘Historical Context’ gramplet and location features gain use.
