Gramps 6.0.8 on Windows
Some of the gramplets on the dashboard have numbers after the names. I haven’t been able to correlate them to anything in particular. What do they indicate? See the three gramplets (What’s Next, Latest Changes & To Do) in the right side of the image below for example; the gramplets in the left column (Top Surnames, This Day in Family History) don’t have numbers after them.
They just mean you added another copy of the same Gramplet to the Dashboard in a session. You are allowed more than 1 instance. But it is more likely that you added a Gramplet, removed it, and added it again. (Instead of using the Restore a gramplet menu.)
The Dashboard allows renaming its gramplets. Just click the title to show a text editing box.
But it is easier to close the dashboard gramplets and restart Gramps. That resets the list of gramplets and the instance numbering resets too.
