Synology Install - I’m stuck on the initial configuration

Hello Gramps Web Forum,

I hope you can help me with a Synology installation issue.

I’ve successfully installed Gramps Web on my Synology NAS using Portainer and the official docker-compose file. However, I’m stuck on the initial configuration.

I’ve entered my account details and my Synology MailPlus Server information, which I know works with other clients like Outlook and Thunderbird. The app is publicly accessible via my web domain and an NPM reverse proxy, but it isn’t sending any emails.

The main problem is that I don’t know what to enter for the last field, the database URL. Any guidance on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your help!

Have you searched “Synology” on this forum?

I just did and there were several threads. One of which linked to a “How to Install Gramps Web on a Synology NAS” tutorial by @vivian

Thank you, I didn’t see that post, just searched for docker install.
But it don’t help me as it doesnt treat the SMPT mail issue or the “Url gramp datadase” field and it is just for a local install.

This is a wrong translation in Spanish, which apparently was fixed on main 2 weeks ago. It’s the base URL for Gramps Web

I tryed with port 465 instead 587 and now it’s sending emails!
