Hi
My question is why no Keyboard shortcuts to activate/deactivate the Toolbar and Menubar (and why Menubar is not in the View option of Menubar)?
Is there some overriding reason for this lack?
Which particular python code covers these two sections of the GRAMPS interface so I may be able to look and learn.
Explanation of why I am interested
I use GraphView for just about everything I am constantly looking for ways to increase the visible area for the tree by removing albeit temporarily anything that surrounds it.
So by remapping a key to include
Full Screen F11
Navigator CTRL+M
Sidebar SHIFT+CONTROL+R
Bottombar SHIFT+CONTROL+B
I can maximise the Window size with one key stroke
However
Toolbar appears not to have a shortcut key combination to activate/deactivate
Menubar is not on the View options and has no shortcut key combination?
to activate/deactivate
If the Toolbar is not visible the only items that I woud miss as buttons
- Arrow for goto previous item in history but could use the built in ALT+Left Arrow
- Arrow for goto next item in history but could use the built in ALT+Right arrow
- Home goto the default person but could use the built in ALT+HOME
The buttons could be better positioned or duplicated to the left of the zoom+ and - buttons as an integral part of GraphView
