I am new here and I am taking over my Mums Family tree she created quite a while ago - I’m hoping to bring it up to date.
I think I can find may way around.
One question I have, does Gramps have a spell checker, or is there a way to add one?
I am using Gramps AIO64-6.0.6–1 on Windows 11

When writing notes you can use a spell checker. To enable spell checking Edit > Preferences > General > Environment Settings section enable the [x] Enable spell checker option
Yes, there are dictionaries for a multitude of languages. But (other than the base British English dictionary and USA dialect of GUI language) added dictionaries and languages are optional during installation.

There is a wiki page about troubleshooting the spellcheck. But it is from before Gramps changed spelling systems. So that webpage is likely to have directions that are outdated.
