Map files for places (two small polish questions)

Thank you for the MIME support in 26.10.2. This has been on my wish list for a long time and it works well. Two things I noticed after adding a few dozen of them, both cosmetic, so feel free to tell me I am nitpicking:

  • Each map file is a media object with no thumbnail so the Media page now shows rows of generic file icons mixed in with the photos. At a glance it looks like a lot of broken thumbnails (even though I do know that actually broken thumbnails carry a different icon). Would it make sense to hide map files from the Media grid by default, or to give them a distinct icon, or to let a filter exclude them by MIME type? I like the new advanced filter feature, but because it seems to refresh after the page reloads, it doesn’t seem like something I could use for this. (I was considering tagging all MIME files).
  • On a place page, the first gallery item is used as the profile picture, so a place whose only media is its map file gets the blank file icon in the corner. Could map files be skipped?

If either of these is intentional I would be glad to understand the reasoning. I may be thinking about this the wrong way since in my mind the map file is better conceptualized as a property of the place rather than as media in its own right.

Thanks for your time.
