Gramps 5.2.3 on linux mint 21.3
Working on fixing old stupidity,
I need to create source citations for events, that I didn’t put in, in the beginning of my research.
It would be nice to have a list of events without source citations.
Is that doable?
You could use the Events with <number> of sources filter (or smthg like that - in French: Événements avec un <nombre> de sources) with equal to 0 parameters
Thanks a lot, I have never used custom filters before, so this was a great help

PS, but the result scared me - a lot of work to do
Good luck! It’s taken me several years to enter my previous research into gramps and add consistent citations and sources.
You can create the event filters specific to the Type: Birth, Marriage, Death each with the S/C count equals zero.
General Filters >> Events with <data> Set the Type
then add the rule
Citations/Source filters >> Events with <count> sources Set Equal to 0
You can create a similar filter for each event type you need. The list of filters also has a Clone the selected filter option so you can clone the first filter to create the second just changing the type option for the second.
You can then go to the People list and create the Filter for
Event filters >> Person with events matching the <event filter>
Create this rule for each of the event filters you created. Just make sure to set the option, in the Define Filter window, to At least one rule must apply.
Running this filter in the People list will return the people who have the events that need work.
This works as described for events except Family events. You can do the same in Families creating a filter
Event filters >> Families matching <event filter>
To get marriage events added to the People filter use the rule
General filters >> People who are part of families matching <filter> Set the family filter and deselect Include children.
The Family Tree View addon has a very nice feature called “Badges”. One of the badges is “Number of events without citation”. Really useful.
I have the same ‘problem’ here in my own database. I did find the filter option very usefull. But indeed a lot of work to do now.
