Change birth and/or death date, to comply with privacy regulations (100 years for birth and 70 years for death), for example, birth 1921-10-16, becomes 19..-10-16, and death 2005-06-26, becomes 20..-06-26
Modifica data nascita e/o decesso, per rispettare norme sulla privacy ( 100 anni x nascita e 70 anni x decesso), es nascita 1921-10-16, diventa 19..-10-16, e decesso 2005-06-26, diventa 20..-06-26
Privacy regulations are different in different countries. And normally they do not say that xx in 20xx-06-26 is private. They say that the complete information is private.
Which begs the question about what happens if I sent my tree to someone
in Italy (re Dates) or France (re DNA)
In the UK dates of birth and death are generally freely available and
have to be published by law it is only certain documents such as census
which are locked for 100 years.
Also at play is your own conscience so in my case I will not publish the
names or details of anyone born after 1939, and if born before 1939 they
must have been provably deceased for 10 years.
I control this by use of a “NO EXPORT TAG” attached to those individuals.
I suppose everyone will have their own logic on this matter, trying to
implement a system in GRAMPS appears fraught with difficulty and
disagreement.
