Hello, I have almost finished the entire genealogy of the country of origin, with data ranging from 1555 to 2020, I would like to mask the dates as per privacy regulations in Italy, to 1926, how and where to start, thanks Maurizio
I am unaware what level of privacy is needed.
What does this require?
What data is not allowed and where must the restriction be applied? Is it redaction (masking) for display? Or filtering (ommision) for data transfer/publishing?

The only feature that (optionally) supports redaction/masking is the Family Tree View (FTV) addon Charts view.
Elsewhere, Gramps has options to omit data marked as Private or Living during exports and Reports. But in those cases, it is as though the data had never been keyed in.
Tanks, if however, it is a question of filtering, omission, or masking, to avoid the publication/viewing of data in the generation of the narrative website, how can this be done?
What to do with data of “Living Persons” and data marked as Private are selections in the Report Options of the Narrative Web Report.

Mr. Brian, your advice hasn’t been helpful. I’ve tried various tests, but to no avail. Perhaps I didn’t explain myself well. I wanted to keep all my search results from 1550 to 2000, and comply with Italian privacy regulations (100 years of birth date, and 70 years of death date). The various options don’t mask the data (if I select the lock as private, it doesn’t show the subject, but deletes it), and they don’t appear in the web file. However, I’d like to partially mask them, e.g., birth date 07-10-1921, modified 07-10-19.., death 26-06-2005, modified 26-06-20.., possibly automatically. I don’t think this feature is available yet, and I’d like it to be. I’m wondering if you can put me in touch with a programmer or someone else. Thank you, Maurizio.
sig. Brian, i suoi consigli, non mi sono stati utili, ho effettuato varie prove, senza risultati, forse non mi sono spiegato bene. Volevo conservare tutti i risultati della mia ricerca dal 1550 al 2000, e rispettare le norme in Italia riguardo alla privacy(100 anni data di nascita, e 70 anni data decesso), le varie opzioni non mascherano i dati(se spunto con il lucchetto come privato, non mi fa vedere il soggetto, ma lo eliminano), e nel file web non compaiono, mentre invece vorrei mascherarli parzialmente, es. data nascita 07-10-1921, modificato 07-10-19.., decesso 26-06-2005 , modificato 26-06-20.., possibilmente in automatico, , non credo sia presente ancora questa funzione e mi piacerebbe lo fosse, le chiedo se può mettermi in contatto con un programmatore o altri , la ringrazio Maurizio
