Help with Geography view of the whole family tree

Gramps 6.0.6/Mac OS Tahoe 26.3

Hi! I have a problem when I try to see all my places point in the Geography area of Gramps. When I try to see all the family tree distribution, it says: “database is locked“, but is not actually locked (at least from the beginning tab). If anybody can help me, I will be super grateful!

The only places where I recall seeing the Database is Locked message is:

  1. restarting Gramps after a crash/abnormal exit
  2. trying to reload the tree from the Family Trees → Open recent menu when it is already open
  3. accidentally loading another version of Gramps when one is already running.

Which Geography category view mode are you using? Here are the Open Street Map tiles of the Example.gramps sample file; zoomed in around Montgomery, Alabama, USA in the All Known Places view mode.

I hadn’t activated the expander tab so I couldn’t see that option. Now I can!
