GraphView Sliders/Scrollbars

Could I ask if in 5.2.3 these were modified from the narrow sliders about the width of the border to enormous wide or high objects which come into being when the cursor is a significant distance from the slider or if these are a function of the Operating System and Theme
Small moan the vertical slider has arrows indicating left and right not up and down

GRAMPS: 5.2.3
Python: 3.11.2
BSDDB: 6.2.9 (5, 3, 28)
sqlite: 3.40.1 (2.6.0)
LANG: en_GB.UTF-8
OS: Linux
Distribution: 6.1.0-28-amd64
LMDE 6 Cinnamon, Mint Y theme

Apologies for confusion for sliders read scrollbars and I have made adjustments to the Theme to reduce the width and they are obviously overridden by GRAMPS.
Would be grateful if anyone could tell me where the setting is so I can reduce it by about 2/3

Size and color and whether the slider is always visible are all functions of your applied theme.

The only help I can suggest is to search for slider in the theme’s css files.

I know when manipulating the applied theme in Windows, you do not have to restart Gramps for changes to be applied. Changes are applied when you reopen the Preferences window

If you have the Themes addon for Preferences installed, please see if changing the “Fixed Scrollbar” option makes any difference.

It was created to compensate for scrollbars that were unusably narrow. So it might make scrollbars with normal widths unnaturally wide.

I can assure you that whatever is going on is not a function of the theme it is purely in GRAMPS and in my older non updated version of 5.2.3 this does not occur

I have Themes installed and there is no scrollbar option I can see

phil

Might be an OS specific feature or an obsolete screen capture.

Thanks. I’ll look into those possibilities.

Sorted removed Themes addon and I back to where I want to be

Thanks for all those who tried to help

To confirm on LMDE 6 Cinnamon if you install the Themes Addon the Op Sys Theme is overriden. Removing the Addon allows the correct function of the Op Sys Theme
