are there any guides for gramps web?
On the demo all i keep doing is adding people with absolutely no relationship to the tree. I cannot find any option to add them as relationships to anyone in the tree.
If you click the blue pencil in the bottom right of a screen, that puts you in edit mode. Then you can edit, say, parents or children. But you are on the right track because you have to add the people first.
And, you have to add a Family first, before you can add parents or children. Click the Plus sign at the top right.
Visitors to Gramps Web website must be logged in as a Contributor, Editor or Owner (but not user) to have access to adding or editing data.
The Add menu button is used to create new Primary Objects
Clicking the button shows an Add pop-up menu.
Users can navigate to “view” for any of the Primary Objects by clicking the Lists in the left Navigator splitbar. (Hide or Reveal the Navigator splitbar with the Hamburger button.) Alternatively, from the Home Page, visitors can navigate to the “view” by clicking the “Statistics” row.
There is also a blue “Add” button (in the lower right) for People, Events Places, Sources, Citations, Repositories, and Notes views. (But not in the Families or Media views for Contributors. Those need Owner or Editor access to show the button.)
Relationships between Persons are established with Families. A Family has no meaning without having at least 1 Person (a Father, Mother or Child) to select. So a Person must be added before Adding a Family. (Likewise, Citations cannot be Added without the Source existing beforehand.)
