I have not been able to launch Gramps 6.0 on MacOS (ARM) 15.3.2.
At the 1st lauch, the software is verified then silently exits after dismissing the system message.
At any subsequent launch, it silently exits without opening a window.
I have looked at the messages in the Console, but there is nothing valuable to my eyes.
Has anybody the same issue?
Update: I can launch it from the command line (using the “gramps” Mac executable embedded in the Gramps.app bundle)

I am also having issues with MacOS 15.3.2. I am a brand new user, downloaded a few days ago! When launched immediately after install, I was able to start inputting my family tree. I opened today, the family tree window and the Tip of the day window opened but when i tried to close the tip window, everything disappeared. I have to quit and reopen to get the same two windows to open but if i try clicking on the family tree window to bring it forward, everything disappears. I somehow got my tree to open in the family tree window but the windows disappear and I cannot actually do anything. At some point this morning after trying a few times i had to force quit.
Any insights? TIA
Did you download 6.0.0 ? There was a recent 6.0.1 release and the main reason was to resolve macOS problems. (Mostly with locale features.) That should not affect an English language user.
But I have not heard of Windows going blank/disappearing.
Please try starting Gramps again without loading a Tree. Then from the Help menu, chose the Tip of the Day and deselect the “Display on startup” in its dialog. Click the Close button in the Tip of the Day dialog. (There was another weirdness reported on this dialog… so this will eliminate it from the equation.)
Close Gramps and re-open. Since you did a forced quit, your tree is probably locked. So you will have to ‘break’ the lock.
Double-click the Family Tree name row that has a padlock icon in the Status column
Then Confirm that you want to
Break lock
And finally, double-click the (now unlocked) row again to Load Family Tree
That seemed to do the trick! Thank you!

Thanks! I didn’t see the link to the update but I found it now.
