Filter Media attached to SETS of people

A person on Reddit.com/r/Genealogy asked for a recommendation on software that could find Media object attached to multiple people. (As an example, photos tagged with a pair of cousins. And you have collections of fully tagged photos from family reunions in many years.)

  • The Gallery gramplet for any selected object will show the Media objects directly attached to that object.
  • And the Deep Gallery add-on gramplet will find those Media objects that have nested attachments to its secondary objects too.

But I could not recall seeing a way to filter Media objects that are secondary objects to several people at once. Or even to a single particular object.

(You might get lucky with some attached to the Family object. That might find an image with both spouses. But it won’t find the images in the Gallery of both the husband and wife rather than the Family Gallery.)

A filter of ‘Media objects with a reference count’ greater than 1 may help. But it sorta depends on your work style of attaching media to a Person or a Citation, for instance.

Thanks. But that would just find Media with a specific number of attachments.

It doesn’t help help media pertaining to specific persons.

I checked my shared media. The media’s reference tab lists the family id where i attach the family group photo. It then lists the person id’s for the individuals in the photo.

Other than the reference count @GaryGriffin mentioned i see no easy filter. Maybe the SuperTool can filter on the person id’s. I am NOT a SuperTool user.
