Faint text on Gramps web site

I don’t use the Gramps web site much because it is a hard job reading all that faint grey script.
Am I the only one? What should I do?

It is supposed to be a help text, but it doesn’t fulfil that goal for me.

Please add a screen capture. It might be related to CSS that could be specific to your OS or Browser.

Not sure what the solution is but here are two related posts

Sorry. Misread this as a “Gramps Web” question rather than a Gramps-project.org “website” question.

No, you are not the only one. (see “wiki font color is too pale”) The default “Desktop” theme has a font line weight that is FAR too thin for my old eyes. Particularly when using a high-resolution display.

Use the “Mobileview” theme instead. (Link in the footer of each page.)

This is a temporary solution that only lasts until the browsing session cache is purged. A good reason to have a WikiContributor account is that it provides a persistent option to change that CSS Theme.

Another good alternative is to download one of the offline PDF manual. They are more readable and more searchable.

Sorry for the ambiguity in the title of the post. As I see it (with difficulty!), the current English pdf version is for Gramps 5.1. Right?

Right, the wiki is in constant revision… trying to catch up with all the changes. The 5.2 release had hundreds of improvements. We’ve covered documenting only some of those. We won’t even be close to a complete 5.2 wiki by the time 5.3 releases.

The project desperately needs more WikiContributors

A version for 5.2 is available as PDF. It was created in June.

English 5.2 Manual PDF

My plan is to make an updated 5.2 version when we get close to 5.3 release. This will be for en, he, fr, de, nl, and ru. And to update the English Addon Manual at the same time.

The generation process is fully automated.
