Extract given names from database

Gramps 5.5.5; MacOS 15.2

Is there a gramplet or filter that extracts given names from a database?

My son and his spouse are expecting another child and wish to first consider family names.

There is a gramplet, “Given Name Cloud”, which is not exactly what you ask for, but it may be useful

Not quite, but you can extract the information yourself, from the person view, by exporting that in CSV format, and reading that file into a spreadsheet. And in that, you can do all sorts of things, like sorting the list by first names, and removing the duplicates.

This means that you need to play with your spreadsheet program to get the desired results.

And to make it a little easier, set the default Display Name to just Given in Preferences before the CSV export.

And do not forget that you can filter the view by Gender to narrow your options.
