Curated addon collections

The default addons “Project” in the 5.2 (and newer) is curated by the Gramps-project team.

Gramps

Gramps 6.0 beta

But others curate their own collections. Some are oriented towards a special interest. These collections maintain catalog enabling simple installation with the Gramps Addon Manager (or the earlier management in preferences)

Please reply with any additional “Project” of which you are aware.

@emyoulation,
Do have any idea for the process and the timeline for these to be ported to Gramps6.0, or is it completely up to the project owner?

brian

That is exactly right.

The main Gramps collection has had a beta testing version of addons for the longest. But that is only a few weeks and there are 140+ plugins. All the registrations have been updated to support the links to documentation for addon gramplets, tools and reports. Full function testing is ongoing.

But Kari and Jean have have already created 6.0 beta testing collections for the Isotammi project and JMichault collections … but that just means the registrations and Addon Manager parts have been completed. All their addons all need to be tested.

@ztlxltl is finding the Blob to JSON conversion means some pretty deep changes.

Have not heard from Éric (@grocanar ) yet.
