Are Weblate file updates potential "Python" for the new Addon Manager?

The new (for Gramps 5.2) Addon Manager has an option to update Allow Gramps to install require python modules.

Is this what will allow Core changes? For instance, could it support Weblate translation updates through the Addon Manager.

I noticed that the Weblate documentation includes articles for client, python API and REST API

Does that mean a Weblate Gramplet might be viable? Where, instead of the whole set of strings for the Gramps project, only the Strings for the Pyton modules of the current View and windows are shown for translation. And changes are written locally … with an option to push upstream?

Then a monthly translation file could an Addon Manager download?
