Perhaps there could be text view generated from a selected Text report (or Book) and focused on the Active Record in that category?
I find the QuickView shell gramplet very useful.
It is handy having a terse summary report immediately available whenever the Active Person focus is shifted.
Using that shell to show the Biography addon quickview (originally designed to simplify creation of the typical WikiTree profile biographies) simplifies conversations with other genealogists. It allows copying to the clipboard. So you can quickly help the other person onto the same person by pasting the coherent, consistent Vital Statistics into an eMail, private message or forum thread. No tedious collation or transcription necessary.
But… the Biography is very limited. QuickViews don’t have configuable options. There’s a stalled patch to include mentioning the spouse’s in‐laws. (Feature request 13655) It does not include the Gramps ID as a reference, it does not link the cite sources.

A more complete summary in a Report Shell View would allow proofreading how the current record is presented and simplfy sharing the information in conversation tone.
The obvious places to pilot the Summary view is Person Everything addon report (omitting the media thumbnails to stay within the “text only” concept) in the People category, Kinship Report for the Relationships.
But some of the Categories don’t have an obvious default summary Report. So creating a Summary View in the category would mean coming up with a new report too. Filling in that hole is a good thing in itself.
