UI language and Home Person are shared

BTW, is there a better place for posting this, maybe a separate Gramps Web bug tracker?

WHAT I DID:

  1. Signed up on Grampshub
  2. Created a second user (for permission testing purposes)
  3. Logged in as this user and changed the UI language to English

WHAT HAPPENED:

  • The new language setting was also applied to the owner account

WHAT I EXPECTED:

  • “UI language” is a setting that is individual for users

Hi,

UI language is a setting for an individual device; it is stored locally in the browser.

Concerning your original question, you can find all information here: Get Help - Gramps Web

However since this was just a question, posting it in the forum was exactly the right thing to do :+1:

EDIT: I found out that the home person is also stored in the browser, like the UI language.

WHAT I DID:

  1. Signed up on Grampshub
  2. Created a second user (for permission testing purposes)
  3. Logged in as this user and changed the home person to someone else in the family tree

WHAT HAPPENED:

  • The new Home Person setting was also applied to the owner account

WHAT I EXPECTED:

  • “Home Person” is a setting that is individual for users
