I can’t seem to set my home person. I select the person in the People view, go to Edit > Set Home person … and nothing happens. No home person is set. Not sure what to try next!

There’s little visible change when setting that Home Person relationship.
To make it more visible and to verify the Home Person setting, go to the Display options in the Data tab of Edit → Preferences. Change the Status bar setting to “Relationship to Home Person” from the default which identifies the Active Person.
Then in the Relationship view, select a parent or sibling of your suspected Home Person. The lower right of the main window should show the appropriate relationship.
When setting the home person, no banners or stars appear. The active person is quietly set to be the Home Person.
Navigate to a different person, then select the Home Person icon. Does the view jump back to the home person?
You can set the Home Person from a people list (menu >> Edit >> set Home Person) or when editing a person’s record, right-click in the Tags area, then set the person as the home person.
THANK YOU - yes that was it. In the past I had the relationship to the home person displayed in the status bar, and in a recent update it must have reverted back. I thought it meant the home person wasn’t set, but it was actually just that the relationship to the home person wasn’t showing at the bottom. THANK YOU!
