Is anyone interested in volunteering to be our Translation Coordinator?
The role could include some or all of the following:
- Helping new translators.
- Answering feedback from translators relating to source strings.
- Moderating the International categories in this forum.
- Giving advice on translating the wiki.
- Investigating errors in pull requests generated by Weblate.
- Running checks on language dependent format strings.
- Utilising more features of Weblate:
- Adding more screenshots.
- Setting string priorities to give translators an indication of the most important strings.
- Clarifying the meaning of strings by adding explanations.
- Using other features such as adding labels to strings.
- Creating pull requests or bug reports:
- To add comments which would appear as source code descriptions in Weblate.
- To add context to ambiguous strings.
- To add a new language.
We could also consider splitting the role between more than one person.
