Totally new at Gramps, entered hundreds of names but lot them all by deleted the unnamed family tree

You will have to explain your problem more clearly before any one can help you. If English is not your native language use your own and also use a translation website and post both versions.

In the menu line there’s a [Family Trees], from there select [Manage Family Trees]. In the Manage Family Trees you can rename an existing unnamed tree.
If you somehow changed the path to the database, you’ll need to reset the path. Gramps->Settings->Family Tree: field ‘Database path’.
