I’d like to check out GeneWeb but can’t even bring up an empty “base”. Is there an English-language mailing list or forum that might help? The only things I’ve found are a French-language mailing list that appears to be defunct. (And my French is abysmal.) Otherwise, their GitHub site has an Issues section but seems mainly geared towards developer questions.

It has downloads for most platforms, and lots of documentation, in English.
And if you get stuck, just ask. I’ve tested version 7 on Linux and Windows, and it’s fast.
Looks are not as good as on Geneanet, but you can probably change that with all sorts of styles.
