Be gratefull for your input.
If a child is born wthin a year of its previous sibling I made a simple person-note: Born within a year of previous sibling. In this way I can share the same note when needed and find all instances in one go. But then I thought I could also declare the amount of days passed since birth of last sibbling before. This however would make the note unshareable. [born 350 days after previous sibling] would only be valid for very few.
Now I have misused the event type for a similar thing before. Which left me thinking: “right, this isn’t an event but I don’t know how to solve this otherwise.”
Being open for ways to do this I’d love to hear your thoughts.
It all depends on where you want to see the information. Alternatively, you could store that number of days as an attribute of the person, an attribute of the event, or even an attribute of the event reference for the person (if the event had other people, which I guess is not usually done for a birth event). Unfortunately, attributes aren’t as visible as notes or descriptions. You can create a custom filter for attributes, but I don’t think you can do arithmetical comparisons (for example, find an attribute whose value is less than or greater than a certain number).
