I, for one, never could get the hang of the mail list. So, I shied away from trying to interact at all. There are a lot of things I like about Gramps approach, and just as many that I don’t comprehend. I sincerely believe that a forum like this will enable many more users to participate in the Gramps project, which is good for all of us.
Given that many of the long-time users and developers have become very comfortable with the mail list, it is good to see that the mail list option is available. I managed a club web presence that had similar forum features, and it was popular with all of our users.
