Salve, ricostruendo l’intera genealogia di un Comune e delle sue frazioni, trovo
estenuante inserire ogni volta l’intero nome, ricordo nelle prime versioni che
il programma suggerisse il nome dopo l’inserimento di alcune lettere, non ho
trovato una possibile soluzione consultando il manuale, grazie per un

Suggested location after entering a few letters
Hello, when reconstructing the entire genealogy of a municipality and its
hamlets, I find it exhausting to enter the entire name each time. I remember in
early versions that the program suggested the name after entering a few letters.
I couldn’t find a solution by consulting the manual. Thanks for the suggestion,

Personally, I find the object selector dialogs a bit quirky.
The “guess as you type” feature in the Select Place Object Selector stopped being usable when my Place hierarchy grew complex.
The common suggestion is to “clipboard” Places that you expect to reference repeatedly in a data-entry session. This allows you to drag’n’drop a Place onto the Event Editor and avoid the object selector dialog entirely.
The other popular suggestion is to install @kku experimental addon called “recent-items”. This adds a shortlist of the most recently used objects at the top of each category’s object selector.
