Key binding to accept changes & close actual window?

Is there a key binding to close the actual dialog window with all changes accepted (as if pressing the OK button)? If not, where can I suggest such a feature? E.g. Shift+Enter to accept&close would enormously reduce the number of mouse clicks needed for most workflows.

(Gramps AIO64-6.0.3–1 Win 10 pro 64kb)

On windows try pressing Alt+O for the Editor dialogs.

Mentioned in the Handy Shortcuts section on the Gramps 6.0 Wiki Manual - Keybindings page.

Thanks, that works. Can I change it anyhow?

No idea, I believe it is not actually Gramps that controls that key combination on Windows that is shared in common by other applications also, you can test the key combination in Microsoft Edge to accept the File open dialog….

Highly doubt it will be implemented but you can file a Feature request.

Any particular reason you don’t want to use the standard key combination that is used all over the place outside of Gramps?

Maybe you can as Gramps uses GTK and a past discussion here mentions that the Apple macOS version of Gramps uses different keybinding combinations.

In 30+ years, I have never known Alt+o can select&accept the OK button – good to learn something new. I still prefer Shift+Enter though. Of course, I understand it is a matter of personal ergonomics. I am still interested in a workaround to change keybindings. The thread you have linked does not provide a means to this, at least not to my level of understanding. I have submitted a feature request under #0014036.
