I have signed up for the free 7-day trial of Grampshub and can’t seem to import my Gramps tree. I would like like some assistance.

If you’d like assistance, please share more details.
Ok, I signed up last night and when I follow the link I recieved in the email it took me to a Get Started page. I then created the username, pwd and tried to import a .gramps export from my Gramps instance and I got an error each time. I finally gave up and just hit submit without the import thinking I could import it later. That got me past the set up page but now I don’t see any option for importing.
Oh I just realized we need to update the docs which says “import page” - the import button has been moved to the administration settings (click on the person icon top right, then on the administration tab).
Which error are you getting? Can you perhaps create a screenshot of the error message that pops up, as well as note the exact time when it happened?
Ok, I have found that and now realized that I think the issue is that my data file has 5k+ people. So I guess I need to figure out how to cull that to a file with <2500 people. I don’t see a good way to limit by number of generations or much. When I use the export tool I either get 5k+ or 0 people. Suggestions?

Since I have had limited success with the hosting option I went ahead and attempted to use the Digital Oceans droplet with no success there either. I have a lot of experience with Digital Oceans, I use them for my primary website hosting. I use the free duckdns.org option because I didn’t want to register a URL if I wasn’t going to be able to get this up and running easily.
When I load the IP address I get a 503 error and when I try the URL via duckdns.org, it spins and never opens.
Needless to say I am not impressed with the easy options. I guess my next option is to dig in and just use git and install it locally and and see if I can get that running.

Gramps give you the option to export with any custom person filter you’ve created. For instance, you could limit to all of your direct ancestors. Also limiting by number of generations is possible. See Filter - Gramps.

Well, setting up everything yourself will be much harder than using Grampshub. And I find your comment unfair, given that the only thing you had to do was choose a different plan or apply a filter.
