What are the size limitation of Gramps web

What are the limitations of gramps web about number of people or media size.
I was able to importe my 280k+ people but i was unable to import my media zip file of 5giga octets?

concerning gramps web sync i guess it could be a problem. Does someone use it with that number of people?

I don’t think anybody has investigated the limits systematically, so it’s an interesting question! But it depends a lot on the server configuration and hardware for sure.

Uploading a 5 GiB file will probably fail on most servers even before reaching Gramps Web because it will

  • violate upload max file sizes of the reverse proxy
  • violate max request times

But what is that 5 GiB file anyway? Gramps Web doesn’t allow importing .gpkg files and you’re not telling me you have a 5 GiB XML, are you?

i was able to import my xml file which is only around 50Mbytes
it s the zip of media file to import that have this size

I will split it in several files to be able to import and to go on on tests

But like you mention hardware for sure is the limitation!
