What’s the correct way to change last name after divorce? My ex-wife took my family name when we married, after divorce, she changed it back to when she was single?
There are date ranges in the Name editor dialogs, at the bottom of the “General” tab.
You can open a Name Editor dialog from the Names tab of the Person object editor. Double-click a row, click the edit button for the selected row, or use the context menu for the selected row.
It is important that the Preferred name have a date range if any of the alternative names has a date defined. Otherwise the “preferred” overide becomes confused. There is an Edit button (for the preferred name) inconspicuously located to right of the suffix field in the Person Editor dialog.
