@Mattkmmr has a nice feature in his Gramps Addons website. When another language is selected, it also shows the English language name… so that you have a English Phrase reference for searching. (Also, the search feature looks through the English description.)
Does the Addon Manager do anything similar when running on a French computer?
Could someone post a capture of the Addon Manager with a search for the Plugin Manager? And another with the Plugin Manager Enhanced?

No. The interface will be translated into French.
The search will look in the id, name and description fields. The id field is not translated.

The display only shows the French name (if the translation exists) but it would be a great addition to also display the English name, because the community discussions are mainly in English : it would help find an addon someone recommends, or find the correct English name to mention it in a discussion.
I guess that’s a feature request.
L’affichage ne montre que le nom français (si la traduction existe) mais ce serait un gros plus d’afficher aussi le nom en anglais, parce que les discussions sont souvent en anglais : cela aiderait à trouver un greffon recommendé par quelqu’un, ou à trouver le nom anglais correct pour en parler dans une discussion.
Je suppose que c’est une demande de nouvelle fonctionnalité.

Plugin Manager Enhanced does the same thing with a couple differences:
- it shows the ID
- it ignores spaces in the search query :
- “pluginmanager” or “plugin manager” will both return the plugin with ID “PluginManager”
- to find the “birthorder” plugin, “trier les enfants” will find it (French name is “Trier les enfants dans l’ordre des naissances”), “birthorder” or “birth order” will find it by ID, “sort children” will not find anything (full English name: Sort Children in Birth order)

I think this is an illusion. It is searching the ID as well as the other text. The ID for this addon is the name with no spaces.
