I am showing that it works in 6.0.6

The event list you are displaying does not appear to be the event list in the Person or Family edit windows. Are you showing an event list in a gramplet or quick view? If so, which?
Thank you Dave
it is the main Person category window that has the list of events below. I seem to remember age after death wasn’t there previously. (??) It does work in both edit windows, but to me it should also work in the main Person window. I now assume this is incorrect?
I’m using Gramps v6.0.6 on Win 11 and I can recreate this. Even with the preference set correctly, events that happen after death, e.g. burial, still show an age if I view the person in the Person category and inspect the event in the bottom pane.
With that view active, if I double click on the person, to open the editor as a window on top of the main list of people, the events after death in the editor do not show an age.
Okay: The Events gamplet is not suppressing the age for events after the death; burial, probate, etc.
The age suppressing is a fairly new feature request. If you would like gramplet to follow the preference setting, you will need to file a bug report.
