If I edit a media object by double clicking the icon in the Gallery tab of an existing citation object, the icon disappears. Then, cancelling the media and citation edits leads to a Save Changes prompt for the citation. Close without saving preserves the media object in the citation. Save commits the removal of the media from the citation.
This only deletes the media from the citation. The media is still in the database. Any edits I made to the media are successful.
When I double click the media icon in the Gallery, it is highlighted and does not disappear until I move the mouse. It takes very little movement.
I have duplicated the problem with Events. I have not tried other objects.
If I open a Citation or Event object and double click on the media item in the Gallery tab, it opens the Media Reference Editor window. It does not delete it from the Citation/Event object.
Is the double click action acting exactly as selecting (single click) plus - (Remove)?
No, it is different. It actually launches the Media window which does not happen with a select followed by remove.
I thought I found an instance where the media option was not deleted but now I cannot find it. One interesting detail is if two media objects are in the media tab, double clicking either of the item deletes it and opens the media window. Double clicking the second media object opens the media window but does not delete the object. It does not mater which item I select first, the first item is deleted but not the second.
