PDF Files open in Gramps Galery

I am using Gramps 6.0.4, Flatpack installation on Linux Mint 22.1 Cinnamon.
I have assigned a PDF file to the ‘Death’ event in the ‘Gallery’.
When I double-click on this PDF file in the Linux file manager, it opens with the ‘xreader’ programme.
When I double-click on the file in the gallery, it does not open. I am also not asked which programme to use to display the file. What do I need to do so that the PDF file is also displayed with ‘xreader’ when I double-click on it in the gallery?

Which “Gallery” where? Do you mean the “Gallery” for the Person Editor? If so then double clicking will only bring up the “Media reference editor” so if you want to view the media object in an external program you need to use the context menu by first selecting the media object and then choosing View from the menu.

Hallo, thanks for your response.
Now I got it.
Have a beautiful weekend.

Welcome!

There are Gallery tabs attached to edit windows; Person, Event, Place etc. Double-clicking any media object in this tab opens the record’s Gramps edit window. Right-clicking >> View opens the record in your default viewer.

There are Gallery tabs in category views; Place Tree, Grouped People, etc that when the object is double-clicked will open the record in your default viewer.
