Ran across an interesting post on Reddit that lead back to Gramps: " should i play this game as an autistic person with a hyperfixation on family trees? i seriously have a weird fascination with family trees…"
This lead to discovering that “this game” was a commercial game called Crusader Kings (versions 1 through 4) that are sort of like Civilization but for building dynastic empires. And some people are using genealogy tools to visualize the data to help their strategic gameplay.

And there are Modding tools. One of which includes a (somewhat convoluted) workflow that imports the data into Gramps. Another is a “GEDCOM to CK3 converter”
