Is there anyway to have ‘Collections Clipboard” that retains the bold formatting?
I just ran a simple test.
When the bold, and other formatting, where part of a note record added to the Collection Clipboard, the formatting was retained. This even after closing and then restarting Gramps.
When the formatting was was part of text added to the CC, the formatting was lost, even within the same session of Gramps.
A Feature Request would need to be filed. Not sure if the request is even possible.
As a workaround, create a Note with the desired text with formatting and add the note to the CC. Give the Note the Type “To Do”. This will prevent it from being deleted by the Remove Unused Objects tool. You would need to open the Note on the CC and then grab and d-n-d the text when needed, but at least it would be there. Note that a Gramps object, the Note, will be deleted from the CC if you change databases.
