Ancestors Count Gramplet

(Gramps 5.1.5 Windows)

Is there a Gramplet that lets you see the count of ancestors a person has in the database? I haven’t seen a way to do this, and I think it would make for a nice Gramplet.

Example:

Parents: 2
Grandparents: 4
Great-Grandparents: 8
2nd Great Grandparents:16
3rd Great Grandparents: 31
4th Great Grandparents: 58

That way you can see how far back an individual is researched?

I know there is a descendant count, but it would also be nice if it could be organized in a similar way to show how many grandkids there are.

Yes, there is a “Number of Ancestors” quickview that you can use with the QuickView gramplet.

The Pedigree Gramplet will not only tell you the total number of ancestors and break it down by generation, but it lets you pop-up a hotlinked list of each generation. (But it doesn’t indicate numbers affected by pedigree collapse.)

Use the Configure… toolbar icon or Edit menu item to restrict the number of generations.
