Addon Registration Failed

Hello, I just installed the last 6.0.0 version of Gramps on a windows 11 system and while I was trying to install the addons from the Addon manager I’m having the
“Addon registration Failed - The addon will be unavailable in your current configuration” message with every single plugin I try to update.
Never had such issue with the previous versions and the 5.2.4 it’s working fine.

Is there anythin i can try to fix this?

Edit > Addon Manager > Projects

If you have a project named Gramps with the url
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/gramps-project/addons/master/gramps52
then delete it.
Create a new project named Gramps with the url
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/gramps-project/addons/master/gramps60

This solved the issue for me. Couldn’t find any information that this is a necessary part of the upgrade, though.

Thank you, it worked like a charm :slightly_smiling_face:

Please help us document this Dialog (and its resolution) in the Wiki’s Error and Warning Reference section?

  1. Did you add the problematic Project URL manually in 6.0 which caused the dialog? Or was this a upgrading carryover… from addon “projects” previously used while in 5.2?
  2. could you restore the 5.2 project and screen capture the dialog?
  1. It was an upgrade carryover from addon projects previously used with the v. 5.2
  2. Restoring the 5.2 Project it’s not giving me the dialog anymore, but it was this one:

Thanks for the clarification and screen capture.

To have the dialog re-appear, you would probably need to uninstall at least one of the addons (via Help → Project Manager) and disable the 6.0 Project.

Writing that suggests that I should try an experiment with a 6.0 project in 5.2 … hmmmm…

That dialog wasn’t very edifying either:
