When would you share an Addon?

So far, I have used AI to build the following within the Gramps GUI. Most are mostly ‘functional’ — but not ready for general distribution

But where do you draw that line?

  • Addon
    Description , Preview

  • Localized Gramps Glossary Terminology
Weblate driven 3-language cross-reference of Gramps terminology (with contextual navigation to the localized Gramps Glossaries and the Weblate forms)

  • Environment Inspector (superseds Locale Checker)
list installed languages and values for environment variables, Gramps constants

  • Virtual Keyboard
a multi-lingual GUI shortcut to find non-ASCII characters

  • Markdown Dash
a markdown Dashboard gramplet to view addon README.md documentation

  • patches
search and feedback enhancements to the Plugin Manager and Addon Manager

  • Icon Browser
    explore Icons in current Theme

  • Theme Preferences
preferences enhancement for CSS layering control|

  • Pedigree Breadcrumbs
    generate NGSQ-style single-sentence pedigree

  • vCard Enhanced
vCard import/export enhancement (add basic version 1, 2.1, and 4.0 support. No new features, just more version compatibility.)

  • Beta What’s Next?
layer in feedback in the What’s Next gramplet for missing REQUIRED data (a loaded Tree, a Home person, etc)

  • Addon Pack and Ship
Utility tool to build Addon Manager compatible ‘.tgz’ files and listing files. Adds a GUI to the GitHub make.py so you don’t have to learn the command line parameter syntax.
