Version compatibility[when upgrading from 5.1.3.2. to 6.0.6]?

Currently using Win AIO 64 - 5.1.3.2.

I would like to upgrade to a more recent version. Can I do this in one feel swoop, or do I have to go thru several key update stages?

I would make sure to have a non media backup of your 5.1.3 database. Then install 6.0.6. When you launch 6.0.6, it will ask to convert your 5.1.3 database. I would decline. Go to the Preferences Family Tree tab and select the SQLite database option. Then create a new databse and import the backup.

Once you are satisfied that everything is good, then you can delete the 5.1.3 database and rename the 6.0.6 database. That last 5.1.3 backup, append something like ‘last 5.1.3’ to the name so you maintain a way point.
