It looks like the .desktop file is not being installed correctly. I’ll investigate.

I’ve uploaded 6.0.6-2 to the edge channel. The desktop file is now installed and looks good, but I can’t run Gramps from the App Center or the Gramps icon in the applications menu.

Is anyone able to test this for me?

Thanks. I now get the same error. It was masked because I was running Gramps in its GitHub source directory. I can also see the errors when I run journalctl.

In the release number 9, I moved the resources into /snap/gramps/9/usr/share. I think I know how to fix this.

OK. I’ve now uploaded 6.0.6-4 to the edge channel. This seems to work, but is a little slow starting from the App Center.

I’ll promote it to stable if there are no problems reported. Please test.

Hello there….. I was able to install it and verify it runs from “open” option from snap/app center (slow like you mentioned) and also from the terminal, which was pretty quick. Thank you
