Hi trlvn,

Thank you very much for your answer. What I want is to include all the media related to events or people to appear in a report. I don’t find anything that can achieve this task. The MediaReport don’t do this…

The Narrated Web and the Dynamic Web (an addon) both include full pictures (by clicking on the thumbnail) in the report. These are html reports designed to be uploaded to a hosting site but can also be used from the hard drive or a thumb drive. They are not print reports.

The Narrated Web is the report I send to a cousin wanting information on their branch of the tree. I give it to them on a thumb drive and ask that it not be posted to the web. I do not filter out any living people.

Thank you DaveSch,

I would like to give it to my old grand-mother, that is why I was looking for a printable version. Would you know a simple and free alternative on Linux to achieve this ?

Thank you!

Try https://wkhtmltopdf.org/ to convert a set of HTML pages to a single PDF. This is used to create the offline Gramps manuals.

The problem with full-size pictures in a text report, the pictures tend to be very large squishing the text portion into long skinny blocks.

Might I suggest putting various text reports into a Book. You can create a Table of Contents and add an Index at the end. You can create the reports using ones with thumbnail pictures. Add an Ancestor and a Descendant report for your grandmother

When you go to print choose the output to OpenTextDocument. This will create a word processor file.

Now you can edit the odt file and inset pages with full pictures or sized within boxes. You can add captions and add the index coding for the people in the pictures and maybe group pictures by family then add the coding to add various family picture pages to the Table of Contents. Make sure to add the coding for page numbers.

Make sure to take page binding into account in the the initial Book Paper Options and maintain them when editing the odt file.
